India gets its first Lamborghini Aventador SV LP 750-4

India’s first Lamborghini Aventador SV LP 750-4 has just been delivered to a customer in Delhi.

Being a petrolhead, I feel very good when I get to know about a delivery of a supercar in our country. India is a country where 80% of the supercars are treated as a status symbol. Thanks to our road, driving these cars will not be a vice decision. But, these things doesn’t matter to the buyers. People still buy Lambo’s and Ferrari’s and AMG’s despite the high import and custom duties.

One such supercar has arrived the Indian shores for the first time. I am talking about the Lamborghini Aventador SV LP 750-4. This is the first of its kind in India delivered to an elite customer in Delhi. Only 600 of these are produced by the Italian manufacturer. This car costs around 327,190 Euros which is around INR 3 crore for the basic variant without any optional items in Europe. But, the heavy import and custom duties get the prices to a reach INR 8 crore. Yes, more than double.

The Superveloce Aventador like all the other SV’s adds more power and features to the standard Lamborghini. The Aventador’s 6.5-liter, Naturally Aspirated, V12 is tweaked to produce 750 HP which is 50 HP more than the standard Aventador. However, the torque stays at 690 NM. The Lamborghini Aventador SV LP 750-4 is 50 kg lighter than the standard Aventador. The transmission remains the same 7-speed dual clutch gearbox that powers all four wheels by the Haldex 4WD system.

The Aventador SV is capable of doing 0-100 km/hr in just 2.8 seconds and 0-200 km/hr in 8.6 seconds. This not it, the car can do 0-300 km/hr in just 24 seconds and go up to a top speed of 350 km/hr at 8,500 RPM. Thanks to the extensive use of carbon fiber all around the supercar.

The Lamborghini Aventador SV LP 750-4 can be distinguished from the LP 700-4 by the extensive use of carbon fiber on the outside, front spoiler made of carbon fiber, more aggressive front and rear intakes, fixed rear spoiler with a huge diffuser, SV badging and the new spider-web like alloy wheels. The interiors also have some exclusive features which cannot be found on the standard Aventador.
