Pune based Kinetic group has signed a deal with Italian bike manufacturer MV Augusta to launch their range of bikes in India. Kinetic plan to bring the entire rage of bikes over the next three years. The first bike will be launched in November this year.
The engineers from MV Augusta are already in India helping out with the homologation and other formalities of the bike. The Kinetic group will set up dealerships across major cities in India. The bikes will be imported as completely built units(CBU) or semi knocked down units (SKD).
“We are really excited to be bringing these extraordinary machines to India, for riders who demand the utmost performance from their bikes. MV Agusta sportsbikes and superbikes are packed with high-end technology and race-derived electronics, which come together to offer an unbeatable blend of power, performance and handling. The styling and the sheer riding dynamics of these machines underline MV Agusta’s tagline – this indeed, is ‘Motorcycling Art’ as never seen before in our country,” said Ajinkya Firodia, Managing Director, Kinetic World.
The bikes will be priced anywhere between 13 and 33 lakhs when launched. MV Augusta current line-up consists of Brutale, Rivale, Turismo Veloce, F3 and the range topping F4 . These bikes have engines with capacities ranging from 800cc-1078cc with power outputs ranging from 110BHP-212BHP.
MV Augusta in the second Italian brand to tie up with a Pune based Company. Benelli has had a successful partnership with DSK group. However some other partnerships have gone awry. Ferrari had a sour experience with Shreyans group and Maserati had a bad experience too, due to which they had to exit the Indian market.
We hope this partnership goes well as we would love to see the MV Augusta brand burning rubber on Indian tarmac!!!!!
