The wait is about to get over! The KTM RC 390 and RC 200 India launch has been confirmed for September 9 and we just can’t wait for these highly anticipated models to step into our bike market. The KTM RC 390 and RC 200 India launch event will take place in Pune, and will be attended by KTM Sportmotorcycles AG CEO, Stefan Pierer and Bajaj Auto MD, Rajiv Bajaj.
In essence, the new RC200 and RC390 are the faired variants of their Duke siblings and the upcoming RC series shares the motors, frame, suspension and many more bits with the Duke models. Powering the KTM RC390 is a 375cc single-cylinder engine that has a maximum power of 44hp and a peak torque of 35 Nm. The engine comes coupled with a six speed manual gearbox. The smaller RC 200 is powered by a 199cc single-cylinder motor that enjoys 25hp of peak power and 19.2Nm of max torque.
Thanks to the bike’s sporty credentials, the RC series bikes will have a sportier stance than their Duke siblings. The bikes will feature clip-on handlebars and rear-set foot pegs, along with a front full fairing that should offer decent wind protection. The new KTM RC 390 Price in India is expected to be pegged at Rs 2.5 lakhs, whereas the smaller RC 200 price in India could be around Rs 1.7 lakhs.
The upcoming bikes, much like their Duke brethrens, are expected to re-write the rules of Indian performance bike segment. With class leading power figures and a price tag that is sure to leave the competition pretty worried, the upcoming KTM RC bikes in India look all set to excite the bike enthusiasts of India.
