Ferrari LaFerrari is a league above the existing supercars and that’s why it is included in the exclusive trio of hypercars which has McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 for company. Whenever, such an exclusive car does something out of the ordinary, it becomes news. This time, it is the LaFerrari which crashed into a row of parked cars.
This incident happened in Hungary and the video footage of the crash has gone viral. As from the video, we can see that the driver was trying to overtake the vehicle and in that process, floored the accelerator pedal. The insane amount of power surge made the car lose traction and crashed into the three cars parked adjacent to the road.
The Ferrari LaFerrari’s has a mid-mounted 6.3-litre V12 engine that is electrically assisted by Ferrari’s HY-KERS system to deliver a total power output of 950bhp. LaFerrari has a top speed in excess of 350 km/h and reaches three digit speeds in under three seconds. The insane amount of power even made Jeremy Clarkson, the most famous motoring journalist in the world, “I wish it had a little less power”
Funnily, immediately after the crash, the driver hopped out and removed the number plates of the car. It was a wise decision on his part, as the internet would have made him the butt of jokes. Later on, it emerged that the car was registered in neighbouring Slovakia.
Luckily, there were no casualties and the driver was safe too. The only damage to the hypercar appears cosmetic which can be repaired easily. This ultra-exclusive car will be restricted to 499 units only with each costing over 2 million pounds. This crash was the fourth that has been in the public eye ever since the launch in 2014. The previous three happened in Monaco, France, and China with the Chinese incident being the only high-speed crash.
