Droolworthy supercar maker Lamborghini is all set to launch its Huracan for the Indian market soon. A Lamborghini Huracan has been put up for display at the Delhi showroom for the prospective customers.
The Lamborghini Huracan is the replacement for the famed Gallardo and if you go by reports of auto journalists across the world, this is a worthy successor to the Gallardo.
The Huracan is powered by a monstrous 5.2 lit V10 which was also employed in the Gallardo and presently is employed in the Audi R8. It produces a massive 602 bhp and 560 Nm of torque. The car can reach a maximun speed of 202 mph with 0-100 done in 3.2 sec! All this power is sent to all four wheels via a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. The car weighs in at 1,422 kilos and has a start-stop system as standard to increase the overall efficiency.
The Gallardo was success with nearly 14,000 units produced in the 10 years of its existence, which is a lot for car which is made with a very high level of personal attention. Lamborghini also sold more cars in India in 2013 than 2012, 22 cars vs 17. Presently the order book for the Huracan stands at 1,000 within a few months of its global launch.
Buying a Huracan will set back you by a steep INR 3.88 crore, which seems more in the Aventador category and not the Gallardo price range. The car will be imported as a CBU and will be made available at Lamborghini showrooms in Bengaluru, Delhi and Mumbai. The car is manufactured at the Lamborghini plant in Sant’agata Bolognese, Italy.
The main frame of the car is made of Hybrid aluminium/ carbon fiber with the body made out of carbon fiber and composite materials.
