Mahindra two wheelers, launched the Mahindra Centuro a while back and did pretty well to capture the 100cc-110cc bike segment, but with the inclusion of new entries like the TVS Star City and Bajaj Discover 100M, the Centuro fell back a little, so in order to revive the Centuro, Mahindra launched the Mahindra Centuro Rockstar, priced at Rs 44,558 (ex-showroom Pune).
The Mahindra Centuro Rockstar edition lives up to its name, with new body graphics in a combination of bright red, black and gold along with the trademark golden ribs, give the bike a re-freshed look. Along with the new fiery graphics, the Centuro Rockstar also sports an LED powered headlamp, an LED tail lamp, Flip Key, guide me headlamps- which help to locate the bike in a parking, five step adjustable suspension, larger seat, in-built anti theft alarm, electric and kick-start along with 5-spoke alloy wheels, which combined add the Rockstar aura to the bike.
Apart from the artistic body work and up-market features, the Mahindra Centuro Rockstar gets the intelligent MCi-5 110cc, four- stroke, single cylinder engine, which produces 8.5 Ps of power and torque. The company claims the bike to have a fuel efficiency of 85km/l along with an added 5 year warranty.
The Mahindra Centuro Rockstar is the newest entry in the 100cc-110cc bike segment, with the Rockstar’s modern features clubbed together with premium styling and a refined engine, the Rockstar edition will have to face off its rivals such as the Bajaj Discover 100m, TVS Star City and Hero’s Passion Pro, to create a Rockstar image for itself.
