Mahindra XUV100 is expected to be launched in the third week of January.
Mahindra XUV100 (S101) was recently spied by IndianAutosBlog. These images show the production spec body panels and parts. The XUV100 was recently spotted shooting for a TVC in Mumbai. Those images gave us a clear idea about the car’s rear part. The newly spied car shows the front end of the car. But, this car is again camouflaged.
The Mhindra XUV100 previously known as the S101 will be the second product from Mahindra and Mahindra to be built on a monocoque platform. The first one was the XUV500. However, the platform has been tweaked to suit the hatchback body style of the new car. Other cars are expected to be built on this platform in near future. The car is expected to be launched in the third week of January. It will be the most affordable offering from the company.
The new spy shots disclose the SUVish front of the car. The headlamps too have a hint of XUV500 in them. The grille which was only partially visible supports the angry look of the front end. The sides of the car do not seem to house any character lines on it. However, the new spy images also show the handle for rear door situated beside the glass like the previous ones. Similar type of design is seen on the Chevrolet Beat. The rear has handsome tail lamps with a spoiler integrated on the boot lid.
As mentioned earlier, the new Mahindra XUV100 will be powered by a newly developed 1.2-liter petrol engine. The diesel variant is expected to be powered by a 1.5-liter m-Hawk which also powers the TUV300. The previous spy images has showed that there will be an AMT option alongside the 5-speed manual transmission. It is expected to be launched at a price between INR 4-7 lakhs. Safety features like ABS and Airbags are expected to be offered as an option on all variants.
