Maruti Suzuki has added another variant to the Celerio brand with the VXi+ to cash in on the upcoming festive season.
The VXi+ variant uses the VXi as a canvas and adds a few extras to entice buyers. The additions include a double-DIN JVC stereo system with speakers, body colored door handles, a central locking system and turn indicator integrated ORVMs. Maruti is offering all these features at INR 13,999 whereas it would normally cost you INR 20,000.
The Celerio, since its launch, proved to be another success story for MS especially with the semi-automatic gearbox. The convenience of the AMT gearbox coupled to the high efficiency it promises has proven to be a good combination, all the more for a country like India with rising number of cars and lack of infrastructure.
Under the hood, the Celerio has a 1.0 liter 3-cylinder K10B engine capable of producing 68PS of max power and 90 Nm of max torque. The manual version weighs just 850 kgs and is quite nimble on city roads. The Celerio also comes with a factory fitted CNG kit.
4wheelreviews recently spied the diesel version of the Celerio in its final stages of testing, read about that here. We expect MS to announce the diesel version soon.
The VXi+ will cost INR 4.19 lk ex- delhi where as the VXi costs INR 4.05 lk.
