While we’ve already reported a fair bit about the soon to be launched Maruti Suzuki Ciaz sedan, what we have here with us today are some interior images of the China-spec model, which will go on sale as the Suzuki Alivo. This Suzuki Alivo was recently spotted parked in a stockyard in China and these new images give us a good look at the upcoming model’s interiors. The Suzuki Alivo was revealed at the Beijing Motor Show some months back and the China launch of this car could happen in the next few months. Visually, the only difference between the Indian and Chinese version of the new Suzuki sedan lies in the front fascia, with the China-spec model having a full chrome unit and the chrome around the foglights.
The India launch of the new car would happen late next month, and the car will go on sale here in as many as six variants (3 variants each for the petrol and diesel models). Bits like projector headlamps and rear AC vents will be standard across all variants, while the top variant will get 16 inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, steering mounted controls for the audio system, engine starter button, ABS, EBD and dual airbags.
The Ciaz will offer high comfort levels to the rear passengers and would have best in class rear legspace and a good ride quality. The car will have a flat floor at the rear, thus maximizing comfort levels for the middle passenger. It is highly likely that the bookings for the new car will start in next few days and the Ciaz will go on sale around INR 8 lakhs. The Ciaz will rival some best selling models like the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Volkswagen Vento, Skoda Rapid, Fiat Linea and Nissan Sunny.
