Maruti Suzuki increased the prices of cars for the first time in 22 months anywhere between 3000 and 9000 across the range except the recently launched S-Cross. The hike was made effective since August 11.
The company spokesperson confirmed the price hike and said, “The price revision was effective from 11th August 2015 and communicated to the dealers on the same day. The price revision is on account of changes in Dealer Margin and a minor calibration in prices.”
Maruti Suzuki is the second dealer to increase prices after Hyundai increased prices upto Rs. 30000 from August 1. This price hike, however would not affect the demand as the upcoming festive season would bring in lot of discounts to iron out the marginal hike.
The company is coming up with a new hybrid Ciaz which will be a replacement to the diesel. New hybrid Ciaz will return a milage of 28 kmpl.
