M&M Removes Black Applique From Scorpio

Mahindra has finally decided to succumb to its customers feedback after the launch of the new Scorpio last year and do away with the black tailgate applique.

When M&M launched the car last year, it received rave reviews on how much better the car is than before and how much of a leap it represented for the company but at the same time it faced a lot of flak for being an eye-sore, especially towards the rear.

The black applique wasn’t to everyones (read: no one) liking and people have been complaining a lot about it. Mahindra finally gave in and has announced the applique will now be body colored. And it looks much, much better now.

Apart from this, nothing has been changed on the car. The Scorpio uses the 2.2 ltr mHawk which produces 120 bhp at 4000 rpm and 280 Nm of torque between 1800-2800 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox with an automatic gearbox in the works for the near future.

We would like to thank Mahindra for showing that a company actually cares about its customers and for taking an eye-sore away while driving on the highways!
