Mercedes Benz promised to launch 15 new models in India in 2015. Today, Mercedes rolled out 11th model in the form of AMG C63 S. Priced at 1.30 crore ex-showroom, this is the 10th AMG model to be launched in India.
The new model will come with 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo engine that produces 510 hp and 700 Nm, and is paired to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7-speed dual clutch gearbox. This enables the AMG C 63 S t0 sprint from 0-100 km/h in just 4 seconds, before it reaches an electronically limited max speed of 250 km/h.
The new Mercedes C63 S comes with the Designo design option, which allows customers to customise interior shades like leather interiors, dashboard trims and sportier seats. The flared wheel arches of the car have been fitted to special 19-inch wheels wrapped in high performance tyres. The C63 S comes with dynamic engine mounts that improve handling and reduce vibrations. Carbon ceramic brake package will be provided as an option.
Mercedes-AMG C63 S comes with sport seats, stainless steel pedals, a flat-bottomed AMG steering wheel, illuminated door sill plates and AMG-branded floor mats, AMG-specific instrument cluster.
Launched as CBU (Completely Built-Up Unit), the new Mercedes C 63 S is basically the performance oriented version of the C-Class sedan. The C63 S AMG directly rival against the BMW M3 which is a very capable car and can do wonders when in hands of an experienced driver.
