The iconic British bike manufacturer Triumph has teased the Bonneville in a teaser video launched on YouTube saying “Something big is coming…” The bike will be launched on 28th October. The British motorcycle manufacturer has not revealed any information about the technical specifications.
The bike will be showcased in various variants and will come with a re-tuned engine to meet stricter emission norms. The bike might come with liquid cooling technology to meet the Euro 4 specifications. There will be few changes on the design side since the classic design is much loved and appriciated on the Bonneville. The new Triumph Bonneville is most likely to be showcased in various variants including a cafe racer, a replacement for the T100 and a bobber version.
The Bonneville will probably come with a 1100 cc parallel twin and a significant jump in output compared to the outgoing generation. The power output is expected to bump a good 20-22 bhp. The current generation engine is Triumph’s air-cooled 865cc parallel twin motor, producing 67hp. That may not sound like much, but it pulls from very low in the revs, thanks to the 68Nm of torque. Electronic fuel injection keeps the delivery really smooth as well.
Th new generation might be showcased at the upcoming 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. The Bonneville is the cheapest Triumph in India; offers air cooled 865 cc parallel twin block pumping 67 bhp and 68 Nm of torque with 5 speed gearbox. Triumph Bonneville is offered in 3 colours Lunar Silver, Phantom black and one dual colour option with Chrystal white and Saffire blue. Bonneville T100 and Triumph Thruxton shares the same engine as Bonneville. All these 3 bikes are categorized as Classic bikes by Triumph and have retro styling with modern tech touch. The company has a range of motorcycles in India. The company brings in bikes as completely knocked down units and the expensive offerings as completely built units.
