If the DC Avanti is the first sportscar offering from the Indian subcontinent, feast your eyes on this:
The M-Zero from Mean Metal Motors.
Labelled as India`s first Supercar, yes you read that right!
Going beyond the rather collegeish name of Mean Metal Motors, they have definitely put in more thought in the design of the car than the name of the company and that is a good thing.
So, what is supercar-ish in the M-Zero?
Well, its got a 4.0 liter V8 bi-turbo engine which is tuned to produce more than 500 bhp and 700 Nm of torque! As the image suggests, the engine will be mounted between the front and rear axles giving it high stability and good handling.
A 0-100 kmph time of less than 3.0 seconds and a top whack of 320 kmph give it good bragging rights in the supercar community across the world.
A carbon fiber monocoque tub chassis will keep the weight down while keeping its occupants safe in case of an accident.
User Adjustable double wishbone light weight suspension will help it grip onto the straight roads and corners equally. The design is open for debate, however we know how it changes from concept to production and hence we will wait to divulge on what we think of it, until we see a prototype. We love the alloys though!
And its Green too!
It will come with a Lithium-ion battery pack will give around 200 bhp and will work alongside the engine to give it faster acceleration.
My favorite design element on the M-Zero has to be the rear end:
We are going to watch with waited breath how the Mean Metal Motors M-Zero turns out. What do you think about it?
