Bajaj is keeping up with its tradition of refreshing the bikes cosmetically to give something new to the customer after some time. The company has now added a new colour variant to the RS200 line up. It is an all white paint sans any graphics.
The company has relied heavily on graphics earlier for the RS200, some might say a tad too much, but this time the company has stripped it of all the decals, yet the bike looks very aggressive with the black body and white colour. Earlier the bike was introduced in red and yellow colors with black being added on later. The Pulsar RS200 has become a favourite with the youth especially with the new fully-faired version making it an instant success.
The Pulsar RS200 is powered by same 200cc engine that powers the naked Pulsar NS200. However, this engine is fuel-injected and churns out 24.5bhp at 9,750rpm and maximum torque of 18.6Nm at 8,000rpm. Marketed as the fastest Pulsar yet, it comes as the most aggressive bike from the Pune-based maker. The Pulsar RS200 has a mileage of 35 kmpl and a kerb weight of 165kgs.
The design includes twin projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, a full fairing, sporty fuel tank, split seats, two-piece boomerang-shaped rear combination lights, a stubby silencer canister instead of an underbelly exhaust and dual tone colour theme replete with decals.
The bike is offered with and without ABS with price tags of Rs 1,20,000/- and Rs 1,32,000/- respectively. The white colour is expected to cost slightly more than the current offerings. The Bajaj Pulsar RS 200 was launched in March this year after which it gained quite a fan following. The company has already sold 15,000 examples and is now enjoying a market share of 43 percent in the super sports motorcycle segment this fiscal.
