Sakal Pune Auto Expo April 2017
Advancements in the fields of manufacturing take place every now and then, hence each vehicle which is presented by the company comes with some or the other improvements in its previous models and hence always you have something new in the market. Similarly, after a period of time, vehicles which have proved their metal in the market and which are still being appreciated by the market receive a facelift. A facelift is nothing but just the rendering done on the vehicle. As people are really bonded with some vehicles brand or its name, the company comes up with a newer version of the vehicle with all the upgrades suited and they tag it with the same previous name. This helps the brand grow and also ensures a specific number of sales as there is some or the other emotional attachment which is associated with the vehicles name.
Some vehicles get a facelift which includes the change in various design aspects. Also, there are vehicles which get some minimalistic cosmetic as well as technical or safety upgrades. For these vehicles, such a platform of a local Auto Expo seems to be great! People can get to watch a variety of vehicles from a variety of brands and can easily compare every aspect under one roof.
Sakal Pune Auto Expo
The Expo was held at Pandit farms on D.P road in Patwardhan Baug Pune. A number of dealers who were a part of this event had brought cars from renowned brands for the Expo. Over the regular stuff, the expo really consisted of fresh vehicles which happen to be sizzling topics in the industry.

Apart from these hatchbacks, there was nothing showcased from Hyundai.

Toyota
Toyota presented its recently best selling vehicles.
The vehicles were Toyota Etios Liva, The Altis and the Innova Crysta.
Nissan
Nissan showcased the Nissar Terrano and the Datsun Redi-go at the Auto expo.
Surprisingly the Redi-go had sought a lot of attention from the crowd. The classy yet badass black stripes and the massive grille in front made the vehicle appealing in every sense.
Renault
Renault Showcased their hot selling hatch the Renault Kwid Climber and the Renault Duster.
People were keenly interested in the Kwid Climber. The climber being a bit flashy due to its graphics and the unique colour combination had a lot of fan following there.
Honda
Honda showcased its favourite vehicle the Honda City 2017 variant. Apart from the city, the main attraction on this stop was the all new Honda WR-v.
The Honda WR-v being latest in its segment made a lot of people enquire about it as well. People seemed really Interested with the WR-v at the expo. The updated sales info of the vehicle will no doubt show what good the vehicle has done to the company.
Nexa
Apart from the other stops, Nexa had a stop which was crowded for all the time. This was but the most crowded stop at the expo, and it no doubt shows us that NEXA dealerships are doing their job great! NEXA showcased three vehicles, The S-cross, The Baleno RS and the newest addition to the Nexa family, The Ciaz.
People were impressed by all the three vehicles in every aspect and seemed to fall for the products instantly. Apart from these 3, the most discussed Maruti Ignis was also present at the expo. The vehicle wasn’t showcased though, but it was available for a test-drive.
Test drives
Apart from the Ignis, the test drive vehicles included the Renault Kwid, Toyota Innova Crysta and the Hyundai i-20 Elite as well.
Pre-Owned Cars
Apart from the showcasing of Brand new cars, the expo also consisted a huge amount of pre-owned cars. As India experiences development in every field, we can see its huge impact on the second-hand vehicle industry as well. The old vehicles which were showcased for sale consisted of cars from the year 2010 to the year 2016. There were literally vehicles which were used for about 10 months and were sold off. Looking at such examples, we can now understand how the country is developing. How the disposable money in people’s hand is increasing day by day.
There were days when people used to take years to repay car loans and when finally the car was theirs, it would be time to update it and hence sell it off. Nowadays it is no big deal to buy a car and sell it as soon as you have lost interest in it, or whatsoever the reason may be!
Apart from that, one thing I observed was that the pre-owned cars segment was 90% filled with Maruti Suzuki Cars! Like literally it felt like we are at a showroom of Preowned Maruti Suzuki Cars. We all know that the car maker single-handedly happens to deliver to more than 50% of the Indian Car Market. Due to that, the Pre-owned car segment being filled with Maruti Suzuki cars wasn’t a big deal!
