Tata Motors is getting ready to launch its new compact sedan Zest in the coming months. Based on X1 platform, Tata Zest Compact sedan will feature segment’s first many new features, engine and transmission option. The compact sedan market is hot in India which is already populated by Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze and recently added Hyundai Xcent in the league. According to report on interweb, Tata Zest compact sedan will be launched on 4th July.
If you are in a market looking for compact sedan, we suggest you to wait for few months, because Tata Zest will be offered with class leading features like Automated Manual Transmission on diesel variant, touch screen infotainment system, projector headlamps and daytime running lights (DRLs). All these features are not offered by any of the compact sedan available in market. Tata Zest will have upper hand in this features when compared to rivals.

The petrol variant of Tata Zest will feature India’s first wholly developed turbo petrol engine 1.2 REVOTRON. The turbo petrol engine produces 84bhp with 140 Nm of torque and will be coupled with 5 speed manual gearbox.
Tata Zest is not a replacement or facelift of Manza sedan as the company plans to bring one more sedan above Zest in coming years. Zest and Bolt are the much awaited vehicles from Tata Motors after unveiling them at 2014 Auto Expo earlier this year. Tata Bolt also shares same X1 platform with Zest.
If you are roaming around Pune, you will surely spot one of the vehicle completely uncamoflauged doing final testing rounds. Tata Motors is betting big on both these new cars and the company plans to hire heavy workforce across all dealers network to ensure sales and aftersales service by Tata for customer satisfaction.
