If you have missed watching three balding (well, two balding and one who had his teeth whitened) men talk about cars and mess around in general, your wait is over!! BBC`s Topgear is set to return for its 21st season on the 23rd of January. Jeremy Clarkson has confirmed this over Twitter, himself.
BBC later confirmed saying they had no idea what Jezza was talking about. BBCs Youtube channel uploaded a teaser to the 21st series yesterday which leads us to believe that the actual date is not very far and its 2nd of Feb 2014.
The date did seem odd as January 23rd is a Thursday and Topgear usually comes on on Sunday nights. To be a qualified petrolhead you need to have watched Topgear in your life. And once you watch an episode even Satan himself cant stop you from watching the entire collection.
If you do not want any spoilers, please stop reading now.
In this series the guys will drive the new seventh-generation Volkswagen GTI, visit Australia for the Bathurst V8 Supercars race, do a track test of the McLaren P1, and something to do with the trio being in Istanbul, which can be confirmed when Jeremy tweeted about him and James being in Istanbul.
Jezza and the Hamster were spotted in Monaco recently with Bugatti Veyron GrandSport Vitesse WRC and a Lamborghini Aventador Roadster.
A Special “Christmas” episode will also be a part of this series but no detail about that can be scored. If you are new to Topgear, this is their humor which is one of the reason to watch the show.
The topgear will remain the same: Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, James May and the famous Stig. The various segments like Star in a Reasonably priced car and a challenge for the presenters will continue to enthrall and entertain us this time around.
The show which originally aired from 1977 was shelved in 2001. Jeremy Clarkson and producer Andy Wilman gave it anew ease of life in 2002 when the modern Topgear started. The show has been garnering popularity and fighting of criticism and battling controversies ever since.
The show won a Guinness World Record for the Worlds most watched Factual Program. It is watched in 212 nations and an estimated 400 million people.
