Toyota launched Etios Liva special edition in a bid to increase its festive season sale. Unlike other manufacturers, Toyota does not have an all new product for the launch. The Toyota Liva Special Edition does get a two tone colour on the exterior with the pillars and roof in finished in black with the bonnet and bottom half in shiny red. The car looks striking to say the least. The vehicle receives no mechanical updates.
Only 400 units of the special edition will be produced. The Liva has been fitted with a spoiler wich accentuates its overall look. The car gets new all black grille highlighting the Toyota logo more than ever. It also gets wing mirrors, and 15-inch diamond cut alloy wheels. The new model also comes with enhanced safety with several standard features such as dual front SRS (Supplemental Restraint System) airbags, pre-tensioner and force limiter front seatbelts. The vehicle’s cabin too gets added features like new wood finish, new dual-tone seat fabric and Bluetooth-supported audio system.
Mr. Akitoshi Takemura, Senior Vice President, Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. The car continues to be powered by the 1.2-litre engine that produces 79 bhp and 104 Nm, while the diesel model is propelled by the 1.4-litre unit that has an output of 67 bhp and 170 Nm. Both the engines are mated to 5-speed manual transmissions. It gets a 3 year/3,00,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.
The Toyota Liva Special Edition will come at an ex-showroom price of Rs 5.76 lakh for the petrol version and Rs 6.79 lakh rupees for the Diesel version.
