Toyota has its hands in every car segment that we have. But recently when the Toyota corolla was categorized as a premium luxury car, then Toyota decided to launch its new weapon. A plan B so good, that people might think, why did they make a plan A after-all?
Toyota Vios :
So as to meet the increasing demand of sedan cars which are less trouble to the pocket and are economical on the fuel meters and which also look good! They came up with this, the Toyota Vios! Toyota previously had the Etios Sedan, but it was nowhere near beautiful ! Although it made its mark in the Indian market. Once people had enough of those, Toyota has finally offered the best alternative which has got everything you want and that too on the budget barrier, here’s the Toyota Vios!
The vehicle comes back from 2013 where it happened to be a concept named as Toyota Furia, which is at present available in the US markets as Toyota corolla. It happens to resemble some of its features with the Indian Toyota corolla.
Engine Specs :
The Vios will bang in India with a 1.5 liter petrol VVT-i engine and with a 1.4 liter diesel variant. It will maybe suited with 5 speed manual and CVT gearbox variants. Also the top-end vehicle can be provided with automatics. The Vios which is now available in Thailand markets is availale in couple of options such as- 1.5J, 1.5E, 1.5G also a 1.5S – which comes with a CVT gearbox and FWD system.
The vehicle will come with some what same appearance as that of the Toyota Altis but it comes with a big set of headlamps. The chrome lining at the tails and the massive tail lamps give it a unique set of visuals, though it might be misinterpreted as the Altis. It also gets a pair of muscular wheel arches and a peculiar shoulder line that give it a solitary look.
The interiors will be a combination of black and beige color scheme which are always appreciable enough and will add a luxurious touch to the car. Toyota never has given a downer side when it comes to Interiors, but some may complaint when it comes to the Interiors of the Toyota Etios, which was understandably let down due to its low budget scheme.
Other Stuff :
Although the vehicle is said to compete in Indian market with the Honda City, Hyundai Verna, Suzuki Ciaz and VW Vento, It is quite obvious that by the looks of this car, and with Toyota’s reputation in India It will no doubt be a great hit.
The vehicle is expected to be tagged with a price category around 7.5-11.5 lakhs in India and should be expected to hit the Indian Markets by Second or Third Quarter this year.
