Usually, car manufacturers clock their best sales figures during the festive period of October-November, which is a reason we see a slew of launches around this time period. Here, we help you know which cars are scheduled to debut in the next couple of months.
Suzuki Baleno (on 26th October)
Baleno will be positioned above the Swift. Believed to be priced around 7-8 lakh rupees, the Suzuki Baleno looks premium and stylish and might be sold through the NEXA range of showrooms started recently by Suzuki.. Expected to do the duty are the usual 1.2-liter K-series petrol engines and the 1.3-litre diesel engines which might get the SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) mild hybrid tag as well.
Maruti Suzuki Ertiga facelift (on 10th October)
Refurbished Maruti Ertiga will be launched on 10th October to cash in on the festive boom. The engine remains the same 1.4-liter K-Series VVT petrol engine that has been detuned by 3 PS to produce 92 PS power and 130 Nm of peak torque. It will continue offering a 5-speed manual gearbox and 4-speed automatic transmission has been added as an option on the higher variants. SHVS will be offered just like the one on Suzuki Ciaz.
Fiat Abarth Punto & Abarth Avventura
This Punto will be powered by a 145bhp 1.4-litre T-Jet engine along with disc brakes all round, Abarth graphics and badges, added exterior detailing, a new suspension and new wheels.If priced around the 10-12 lakh range, it could be a success story for Fiat.
The new Ford Endeavour will be powered by 2 diesel engines. A 2.2L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor producing 148 BHP of power and a 3.2L, 4-cylinder, turbocharged diesel motor producing 197 BHP of power. The 3.2L diesel motor will come equipped with a 6-speed automatic gearbox. The car will have considerable amount of localization and will start at about Rs 22 lakh ex-showroom.

The SUV will be focussed more on people driving it on tarmac rather than in mud, as the company has decided to bring in only one variant of the car which will be a 2WD version only. The 7- seater SUV will be powered by 2.8-litre Duramax DOHC turbodiesel engine good for 197bhp and a massive 50.99kgm of torque. Trailblazer will come with an automatic gearbox only. The Trailblazer will be priced between 25-30 lakhs.
Mercedes GLE and AMG GT will come in the luxury segment along with the BMW X5 M, X6 M, facelifted 3-series and the Ford Mustang. Upcoming car launches might see another 2-3 launches which have not been declared yet.
